Quality Control

Raw Material Selection: Except for our own quarries, we also control and operate lots of quarrying resources, Such as Black Galaxy, Steel Grey, Black pearl. SHIVAM STONEX is endowed with abundant blocks and colors to meet customers’ requirements.

Thickness tolerance: As usual, the project countertop will be split into several parts. Strict thickness tolerance control can ensure all parts of tops are seamed with exact thickness to match together (nice and flat with both tops). Besides, Lamination thickness will also be within an acceptable tolerance.

Polished process: Project Granite requires a higher polished degree than the gangsaw slab and same for Fireplace, we use world-class methods to carve fine designs on Fireplace. To good gloss for stone top, we use an advanced polish machine to polish and check it piece by piece. And edge polish and cutting will be sheen and equal to the surface, smooth without waves. When comes to Black or White material, we would pay more attention to avoid scratch.

Packing

We provide secure and decent packing to ensure the safety of the goods during long transportation and add more value to the product. We strictly adhere to the principle of packing: SAFETY, ECONOMY, DELICACY.

Container Loading and Reinforce

This is the last step but it is also the most important one. All wooden crates in a container must be stable and secure on the way. We are doing our utmost to avoid the wooden crate falling down.

Delivery Time

It is very important for every project. We always put project orders in the first position to arrange mass production.

After Service

1-2 pieces of polished slabs or semi-products for free will be added in each order for the project as a backup. What we do is to assure customers would be completely satisfied with our services.

Quality Standards

Finishing

POLISHED: “The Most popular finish” – One side is Finished by the action of the Abrasives on the polishing head, gives a mirror finish on Granite, and diminishing in the reflective properties, as we go from Granite to marble and slate, etc.

HONED: A smooth but unpolished finish, produced by using a less number of abrasives on a polishing head – leading to a smooth but Non-reflective surface.

SANDED (usually for Sand-Stone): Coarsely polished to remove sawing blade marks, to leave a semi-smooth but regular finish.

HAND SPILT OR CLEFT: A traditional treatment in which the stone is split along its line of cleavage to open the same at the natural grain; thereby giving a surface with great character.

GRIT OR SANDBLASTED: The action of coarse-grained grits, blasted onto the top surface of the stone, with the help of water, produces a natural finish similar to hand-split or cleft.

FLAMED: The surface of the stone is Flamed or burnt off with a high-temperature apparatus (similar to a blow torch). This gives a contoured finish, based on the internal characteristics of the stones.

SHADE: We strictly maintain the shade of the merchandise as desired by the client. While producing cut to size tiles, careful batching is done even when the material is cut from the same slab/block.

Processing

REPAIRING/NETTING: We do the repairing/netting to reasonable levels and not to the extent of joining two broken pieces. Moreover, more importantly, we use low viscosity epoxy-based resins specially produced in Italy & Germany for stone application. We never use cheaper polyester-based resins, which have a limited life.

THICKNESS: While sawing, especially marble we take a lot of care, for the best result as it is a very brittle and pasty material. A little less carefulness and the result is taper slabs. We maintain a very low down feed and regularly monitor the sharpness of diamonds to ensure maximum tolerance of +/-0.5mm within the same slab.

FLATNESS/CURVES: At Kushalbagh Marbles we have carefully controlled this very common and major problem. We never let the sawing result in slabs with a curve, which makes the fabrication/installation very difficult. We always maintain the flatness of slabs to the permissible tolerance limit.

GLOSS / POLISH: We polish the Granite / Marble slabs & Tile on automatic multiple headlines polishing machine from Breton- spa & peddling spa of Italy. We never supply merchandise polished on a ‘locally made table polishing machine’. We achieve the gloss between 750 -900 and guarantee an excellent flatness, Proper pre-bed preparation, and suitable life of the gloss at international levels.

SQUARENESS: We maintain Perfect squareness in cut to size materials; thanks to the automatic bridge cutting machine from Peddrini SPA & Breton SPA, Italy. We never use locally made bridge cutting machines or conventional hand-driven edge cutting machines as it is far than difficult to maintain.

SHIPPING: Even in F.O.B. & C.& F. shipments we consider it as our duty to investigate and inform the buyer with various options of suitable shipping lines offering the best freight along with the shortest transit time and satisfactory service. Our job does not just end upon loading the container. We maintain track of the container till it reaches the destination and keeps the client advised of various movements/transshipments.
